Pepsico Lawsuit Settled By Pizza Inn
It was announced by officials earlier this week that the Pizza Inn has reached a settlement with PepsiCo after being sued. The Pizza Inn is said to heave reached and agreement and settlement with PepsiCo after the pizza chain was sued for breach of contract. The announcement regarding the settlement and agreement was made over the weekend.PepsiCo apparently sued the 380 strong chain of Pizza Inns in October 2005. The breach of contract lawsuit that was filed by PepsiCo claimed that the Pizza Inn chain signed a purchasing contract in 1998, and then terminated the supply before meeting the contractual purchasing obligations.
According to sources speaking on behalf of the Pizza Inn chain the service levels provided by PepsiCo were not up to par, and it was for this reason that the Pizza Inn chain wanted to pull out of the contract that it had with regards to the supply it received from PepsiCo.
Following the agreement and settlement both companies have now dropped all claims and rights to make further claims relating to the incident. Pizza Inn has paid $410,000 to PepsiCo as part of the settlement.
