Quarterback To Sue Tennessee Titans
The ex-quarterback with the New Orleans Saints is to sue the Tennessee Titans after being hit by a golf cart in August. It is alleged that the ex-Saints quarterback was hit with the golf cart by the Titans’ team mascot after the first half of an exhibition in August.According to the lawsuit the quarterback, Adrian McPherson, is looking to claim $15 million in punitive damages as a result of the alleged incident. The lawsuit also claims that the Titans were negligent, for which McPherson is trying to claim a further $5 million.
It is claimed that the mascot of the Titans, T-Rac, hit McPherson with the golf cart while he was training on the field in August. As a result of the alleged incident the quarterback was badly bruised and unable to play. He was then cut by the Saints in September.
Following the incident the NFL did issue reminders to teams with regards to boundaries that were set with regards to mascots being on the field, but no further actions was taken with regards to the incident.
