Apple May Be Sued By LG Electronics
An electronics company may be filing a lawsuit against Apple, claiming that one of its phone designs is a copy of one of its own unreleased phones. According to officials from LG Electronics the iPhone design by Apple is a copy of the as yet unreleased LG KE850.The decision with regards to whether or not to file a lawsuit against Apple has not been made, and officials have stated that at present they are only considering taking action. Officials have even stated that they are proud that other companies admire their designs.
One LG official stated: “At first glance, we recognized the iPhone shares many form factors with the Prada phone. We are flattered that other makers follow our design policy. We can’t say at the moment whether or not we will file a lawsuit against Apple regarding this. It’s too early to make remarks on the issues.”
There are a number of obvious similarities between the two designs according to reports, including the interface, the touch sensitive controls and large keys, and the rounded, black color and shape.
