UK Man Plans To Sue Home Office
A man in the UK is planning to sue the Home Office for hundreds of thousand of pounds after being found not guilty of the murder of his foster daughter. Sion Jenkins was cleared of the murder of 13-year-old Billie Jo. The 48-year-old is now preparing to file a lawsuit for miscarriage of justice.It is thought that the man could get as much as 300,000 GBP, which would include compensation for loss of earnings following his incarceration for the murder. Jenkins was cleared of the charged despite the fact that his ex-wife has spoken out about how he used to beat her and their children.
His ex-wife has also spoken of the day the 13-year-old died, and described what Jenkins was like when they found out. She stated: 'Sion seemed strangely cold and distant. His eyes were as grey as slate with pinpoint pupils... He offered no comfort. I felt let down and faintly embarrassed. I wondered if our friends had noticed his detachment. I can recall with clarity the look in his eyes as he told the children, "Billie's dead". It had no trace of emotion.'
It is thought that Jenkins will make even more money from offers of cash for interviews from major UK newspapers that want exclusive interviews with him.
