According to reports Stallone and his staff was apprehended at the airport in Sydney on February 16th. The actor had flown in on a promotional visit, and he and his staff was detained for a number of hours while officials searched bags. A number of items were confiscated at this time, and according to reports further items were confiscated from his hotel room several days later.
The actor did not have to appear at the hearing in Sydney, and was allowed to fly home with his staff. However, he does face a charge of bringing a banned substance into the country in the form of Human Growth Hormone, which in Australia is classed as a performance enhancing drug.
The case against Stallone has now been adjourned until the end of April, and a plea will then be entered for the star by his lawyers. Maximum penalties can include fines of nearly ninety thousand dollars and five years in prison, although it is not thought that Stallone will face the maximum penalty.
