Woman Plans To Sue Over Reality Television Show Mistake
A woman from Muncie has confirmed that she is planning to take legal action over a case of mistaken identity by the makers and presenters of a reality television show. According to Lyndsey Clements’ claim, her home was raided as part of the reality television show after show officials and presenters got the addresses mixed up.The reality television show was ‘Armed and Famous’ which was aired by CBS but has now been cancelled. The plaintiff is also holding those involved in filming and airing the show responsible for the incident. She claims that police raided her home as part of the show, used excessive force, violated her constitutional rights, and then quizzed her about two people that she had never even heard of.
The twenty-two year-old added that her apartment was entered illegally by up to eight SWAT officers, who had been provided with the key by the landlord. Outside the flat she found celebrity officers Jack Osbourne and La Toya Jackson, who quizzed her with regards to why she hadn’t opened the door.
The claim goes on to state that once the police realized that they had the wrong address they then released Clements, who had been handcuffed by this stage, and retreated from the property.
