Woman Sues For Sexual Harassment And Wrongful Dismissal
A woman has sued an auto dealer in Monterey for wrongful dismissal and sexual harassment, also naming one of the employees of the dealership as a defendant. The sixty-nine year-old woman claims that she made complaints against a male employee for sexual harassment, and as a result she was dismissed from Stahl Motor Inc.The employee accused of sexual harassment stated that the claims were baseless, and that he had his reasons for wearing a penis pendant necklace that the plaintiff found offensive. The plaintiff had also complained of the employee making lewd gestures with a sausage, but he claims that he was simply eating it.
According to the lawsuit, the employee had then made jokes about his alleged lewd and offensive behavior to customers, and after finding this out the plaintiff, Velma Evans, went to the boss of the dealership, Bob Stahl and complained about the situation.
According to the allegations, Bob Stahl, after listening to the complaint made by Evans, told her to leave. The owner of the dealership declined to make any comment with regards to the allegations made by the plaintiff.
