Judge Refuses To Dismiss Lawsuit
A Riverside County judge has refused to dismiss a lawsuit filed by two high school girls. The girls claim that they were expelled from California Lutheran High School because of an alleged lesbian affair they were accused of having. An attorney working on behalf of the school tried to explain that the school is a private and religious one, asking the judge to therefore throw out the suit but this was refused.Attorneys for the plaintiffs want a jury trial, stating that the principal of the school suspended the girls simply based on his suspicions, and then the girls were expelled after a review by the board of directors for the school.
It is further claimed that the principal, Mr. Bork, interrogated each of the girls, stopping them from getting in touch with their parents. The suit states that Bork found out from a third party about the girls who he then believed to be lesbians.
There are a number of allegations made as part of the lawsuit filed by the two teenagers and this includes invasion of privacy, discrimination, false imprisonment, and violation of fair business practice.
