Dog Owner Sued For Postman's Injuries
The owner of a dog has been sued by the federal attorney general over an injury caused to a postman two years ago following an alleged dog attack. According to reports the dog attacked the postman and bit his penis in May 2005 when the postman was making a delivery to the owner's home. The lawsuit goes on to state that the dog bit the postman and then knocked him down.The postman, Bradley Russell, was delivering to the home of the dog's owner, James Shukaliak when the incident occurred. The dog went for the postman at that time, bit him on the private parts, and then knocked him to the ground, according to the suit, which has been filed in the BC Supreme Court, Columbia.
The allegations have not yet been proven in court, but no defense statement has yet been submitted by the defendant in the case, which is the owner of the dog. According to reports another unknown man also lived at the property.
According to the lawsuit after the incident the postman developed anxiety, post traumatic stress, depression, and physical pain and injury, as well as loss of income.
