Famous Pilot Sued His Children Over Pension Fund
A pilot who became famous as the first pilot to fly faster than the speed of sound is suing his children over the diversion of money from his pension fund. The feud between 83-year-old pilot, Chuck Yeager, and his four children has been ongoing for some time, and this lawsuit is the latest in the problems between Yeager and his children.As part of the lawsuit, which was filed on Thursday, Yeager accused the four children of diverting hundreds of thousands of dollars from his pension fund. Yeager’s first wife died in 1990, and he married his second wife in 2003 when she was just 45 years old. This is when the feuding is said to have started between the pilot and his children.
Yeager’s second wife expressed concerns that he had little or no control over his own finances and financial decisions because his oldest daughter, Susan, was managing his accounts at the time. Three of Yeager’s children then sued his second wife claiming she was alienating him from his family in order to take control of his estate herself.
All four children are named as defendants in the lawsuit, although none of them nor their representatives were reached for comment after the lawsuit was filed.
