Disability Lawsuits Filed Against Restaurants In Carmel
A man has filed disability lawsuits against a number of restaurants in Carmel, claiming that the eateries provide no disabled access. The man is known for filing disability lawsuits against small businesses, and has already caused businesses to close down because they were not able to pay a settlement or fight legal action.Thirty-four-year-old Jarek Molski has filed lawsuits suing eight restaurants across Carmel for one and half million dollars each. Some of the eateries may be forced to file for bankruptcy as the result of this legal action. Some of the most popular eateries in the area have been targeted by Molski.
One of the restaurants against which a lawsuit has been filed has fixed the problems, but the lawsuit is still set to go ahead. The owner of Casanova’s restaurant stated: "It's just a demand for money based on your ability to pay. And they'll just try to pull out of you whatever they can by saying, if you don't accept it, it's going to cost you more every day."
A central California judge has recently stated that the man will be banned from filing any further lawsuits now without the permission of the courts.
