Senator’s Attorney Sues Co-Worker Over Invasion Of Privacy
An attorney on the staff of Senator Michael DeWine has filed a lawsuit against a co-worker for invading his privacy and telling the world about a two-week affair that they had. Robert Steinbuch has filed a suit against Jessica Cutler after the co-worker put details of their affair online and then paraded the details through all the world’s press.Steinbuch states that Cutler made it obvious that the man she was having an affair with was him by mentioning his first name, where he lived, his religion, and other personal details that made this clear. As a result of the publicity that the affair attracted, Cutler has benefited in various ways including the offer of a six-figure book deal, television appearances, and numerous interviews for press.
In addition to this, Cutler was subsequently hired to write for an Internet gossip site, and even appeared in Playboy. Steinbuch states that he, on the other hand, has simply been left with nothing but humiliation and embarrassment.
Steinbuch has stated that as a result of Cutler’s actions and the publicity generated by her publication of the affair he has suffered "severe emotional distress, humiliation, embarrassment, and anguish."
