Cleveland Clinic Sued By Nurse
The Cleveland Clinic has been sued by a nurse, who claims that officials from the clinic accused her of using drugs, held her against her will, and then went on to dismiss her from her job there. It is reported that 42-year-old Brianna Sharpe was accused by hospital officials of substance abuse as well as of administering drug medication to a patient without proper authorization.According to reports one nursing manager had ‘reasonable suspicion’ that the nurse was abusing drugs. Sharpe then went on to volunteer and take a drug test, but after the test she was not allowed to drive home and instead had to wait several hours for a ride, during which time she was watched over by managers.
Although the drug test came back negative, the nurse was still fired from her post, which according to reports was for poor performance. She had been working at the clinic for two months at that time. Sharpe has now gained employment in another nursing position.
The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damaged that are said to exceed twenty five thousand dollars. The lawsuit was filed last week in Trumbull County.
