Boutique Sued By Own Publicist
A popular and trendy boutique that is a favorite among many stars has been sued by its own former publicist for discrimination against homosexuals. The boutique has been linked with stars such as supermodels and sports celebrities, among others.The boutique, SoHo, was publicized by Andrew Boeppel, a gay man from Manhattan. However, the former publicist for the boutique is accusing the owner of SoHo, Jack Menashe, of the use of gay slurs and comments that put homosexuals down.
It is alleged that the publicist arranged a gay networking party at the boutique in February as part of the marketing of SoHo, but that the owner continually made slurs about the gay people being there, and had them relegated to a tiny section at the back of the boutique.
Boeppel gave up his job at SoHo, and went on to state: "No reasonable gay man would remain employed with the defendants."
