Family Files Lawsuit Against Estate Of Rapper
A family has filed a lawsuit against the estate of a deceased rapper, after claiming that he shot a member of their family before he was killed by someone else. The family of Keith Bender, an army veteran, filed the lawsuit after authorities states that it was the rapper Proof that shot Mr. Bender before he himself was killed by another man.According to police reports the rapper got into some sort of argument with Bender at an after hours club, CCC, and this occurred back in April. After the altercation worsened, shorts were heard.
Proof, whose real name was Deshaun Holton, was a member of the rap group known as D12, and was best man at the wedding of Eminem earlier this year. The prosecution claim that Bender’s cousin was the one that killed Proof after the rapper shot Bender.
It is not yet known the amount being claimed in damages as part of the lawsuit, which was filed in Wayne County Circuit Court earlier this week. However, an earlier lawsuit had been filed in relation to the incident but was dismissed.
