Wrongful Death Claim Filed For School Bus Accident
Following a road accident involving a Liberty school bus, a lawsuit has been filed against the school district citing wrongful death. The lawsuit has been filed by the family of David Gleason, a 53-year-old man that was killed as a result of the tragic accident.The accident occurred on May 9th at a busy intersection, where two vehicles were struck by the bus. Both drivers of the two vehicles were killed in the crash, Mr. Gleason being one of them. Over 20 of the children on the bus were injured as a result of the accident.
The wrongful death lawsuit is being filed against a number of parties, in addition to the school district. Other parties named on the lawsuit include the bus driver, the company that made the bus, and company that makes and provides parts for the bus, and the company that carries out maintenance work on the vehicle.
The bus driver has already stated that she thinks the air brakes on the bus failed, and claims that she was unable to stop the bus. Documents are also allegedly in circulation that claim the bus had a history of electrical problems.
