Rapper’s Family Can’t Expand Wrongful Death Lawsuit
The family of a famous rapper killed in a shooting have been told that they cannot expand on the wrongful death lawsuit filed against the city. The family of Notorious B.I.G. wanted to expand the suit by claiming that a corrupt police officer was actually at the scene when the shooting took place.Christopher Wallace, aka Notorious B.I.G., was killed in 1997 when he was gunned down following a party at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. The murder remains unsolved, but the family of the rapper claim that former officers David Mack and Rafael Perez were behind the rapper’s death.
The two former officers work for Marion Knight from Death Row Records, and the family of the rapper claim that one of the officers was present at the party and tipped off the other to confirm that the rapper was present. The man named as the trigger man is Amir Muhammed. However, all parties have denied being involved in the shooting.
The family’s request to expand on the lawsuit was denied by the judge last week, because there was no admissible evidence to prove the family’s claims.
