Children Blame Death Of Father On Step-Mom
Three children of a New York doctor are suing their step-mom, alleging that she sped up his death after she took control of his estate. The children have filed a lawsuit against Edith Greenspan, who was the second wife of their oncologist father, Dr. Ezra Greenspan.The lawsuit filed against Greenspan is for wrongful death, and the three children, David Greenspan, Ellen Haya and Karen Lind, claim that their father "died from an overdose of a medication administered by or at the direction of Edith and from the failure of Edith to obtain proper medical care."
A lawyer working on behalf of Mrs. Greenspan responded to the claim made in the lawsuit by the doctors three children, stating that the claim was "an outrageous, avaricious, reprehensible charge."
The widow and the three children of Dr. Greenspan are in a dispute over the will, as the doctor originally left everything to his children, but later amended the will leaving most of his estate to his wife and her son.
