Ipod Case Selected For Television Airing By Judge Judy
A case regarding a missing iPod, which was filed in small claims court in DuPage County, has been selected for national television airing on the hit legal show, Judge Judy. The plaintiff in the case, Aurora based Melanie McCarthy, filed a small claim for $350 after her daughter’s iPod went missing.McCarthy said that she recently received notification that Judge Judy wanted to take the case, and tackle it on national television. Judge Judith Sheindlin is a retired judge who has gained fame as the firm but fair celebrity judge that has dealt with many cases in her television court room, with shows viewed all across the United States as well as worldwide.
McCarthy was pleased about being approached regarding the case, and stated: "I'm very confident. I love Judge Judy. I think she's very impartial and very smart."
McCarthy states that her daughter let a friend borrow the iPod and it was never returned to her, but the friend said that she did return the device to her classmate. Both parties will now have to agree for the case to be aired in order for it to be accepted on Judge Judy.
