Judge Exceeds Sentencing Guidelines For Internet Drug Dealer
A federal judge has sentenced an Internet drug dealer to three years in prison and two further years of supervised release, exceeding the usual sentencing guidelines. The Internet drug dealer has been connected to the near fatality of a man in Northboro.Manuel Pacheco was sentenced by Judge Nathaniel Gorton. The drug dealer is also already serving a nine-year to life sentence for the killing of an eleven year old New York girl. The judge ordered that this latest sentence be carried out after the man has served his current stretch in prison.
Pacheco used a couple of names when dealing online, including ‘The Doc’ and ‘Roiddoc’. He pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute anabolic steroids and ketamine. He illegally sold the drugs through Internet advertising and by using the postal service to distribute the products.
In the incident involving the near fatality, evidence of the drugs sold and posted out to the victim by Pacheco were found, linking him to the incident. After the evidence was found at the scene, a further shipment of illegal drugs were intercepted by the postal service.
