Boy’s Parents To Sue After Claiming Civil Rights Violation
The parents of a boy, who was suspended from school for two days, have stated that they plan to hire an attorney and file a lawsuit, because they believe that their son’s civil rights were violated by the suspension. The ten year old boy was suspended for two days after an incident involving his teacher.According to reports, the boy had been reprimanded on a couple of occasions for telling his teacher that she looked sexy. However, the suspension occurred after he then asked his teacher for a hug. The incident took place at Putnam Valley Middle School, where the ten year old, Aaron Perez, is a student.
The boy’s mother stated: "It was an innocent gesture from him. He doesn't know, if you ask him, 'what does sexy mean?' he says, 'that you're pretty.' " The parents of the boy were called at home to collect their son immediately after the suspension was enforced.
The boy’s mother also went on to state that he had asked the teacher for a hug, and she stated: "She said 'Aaron, that's inappropriate. And he said, 'But I just wanted to give you a hug to wish you a good weekend.' It's ridiculous, they sanctify the teacher, and they traumatize the child."
