$8 Million Lawsuit Filed Against Restaurant
The family of a man that was killed in a collision have filed a lawsuit against the restaurant that served alcohol to the driver of the vehicle that killed him. Ki Om, from Graham, was killed earlier this year after another vehicle slammed into his.The lawsuit for eight million dollars has been filed against the restaurant in which the driver and passenger of the vehicle that crashed into Om had been drinking. According to the lawsuit, the couple was visibly drunk and appeared to be high on drugs, but was not refused service until seven in the evening.
At this point, according to the suit, the couple left, but were falling over and arguing. They then got into their pick up and drove away, shortly before crashing into Om and killing him.
A lawyer for the family of the deceased man stated: “The El Toro restaurant showed an egregious lack of concern for safety by both serving alcohol to these people and then letting them drive away.”
